Mr. Hoffman is a senior associate at McNeil Tropp & Braun LLP. Having practiced law over four decades in both California and Oregon, he has an extraordinary breadth of litigation experience. He has successfully handled the defense of complex cases involving multi-million-dollar construction defect, personal injury, and premises liability claims. He also has solid experience handling appeals, including the case of O’Reilly v. Olympia at Vallejo, upholding summary judgement he secured in favor of his landlord client where a tenant had been murdered on the premises by another tenant.
Mr. Hoffman is a published author, having written articles for academic journals and co-edited a successful book on Christian apologetics. He graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1977, with a degree in Economics, and received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1980. Pursuing his avocations of philosophy and theology, he then earned a Master of Religion (M.R.) from Southern Evangelical Seminary in 2008.
Mr. Hoffman has been blessed with a 45-year marriage to the same lovely woman. He has three adult children (a women’s rights advocate, an artist, and a missionary), and nine beautiful grandkids. When he’s not working or enjoying the grandkids, you may find him angling for tuna in Mexico or flyfishing in the Sierras.
